Wine Burgenland Award 2021

For the first time, the WEIN BURGENLAND AWARD – an award for Burgenland wines with closer origins or maturity – was given in eleven categories.
RWB winemaker ANDI KOLLWENTZ won in two categories.
In the category WHITE WINE WITH SPECIFIC ORIGIN 2019 & OLDER with his CHARDONNAY RIED KATTERSTEIN 2018.
In the CUVÉE ROT RESERVE category with the STEINZEILER 2015.
His BLAUFRÄNKISCH RIED SETZ 2016 made 3rd place in the BLAUFRÄNKISCH WITH SPECIFIC ORIGIN 2018 & OLDER category.

Among the award-winning wines is the ZWEIGELT RIED HALLEBÜHL 2016 by PEPI UMATHUM – 3rd place in the category ZWEIGELT WITH SPECIFIC ORIGIN 2019 & OLDER.

In the ALTERNATIVE WINE category, KURT FEILER was able to convince with its O.S.OLÉ BIO 2019 and took 3rd place.
